The magical world of Harry Potter is set to dazzle audiences across North America as the highly anticipated Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tour reveals its full cast. Kicking off in Chicago this September 2024, fans can look forward to seeing some beloved characters brought to life by both familiar and new faces.
Headlining the cast is John Skelley, reprising his role as Harry Potter after his acclaimed performance in the San Francisco run. Trish Lindstrom returns as Ginny Potter, bringing her experience from the Toronto production to the tour. Newcomer Emmett Smith joins the cast as Harry’s son, Albus.
Broadway alum Matt Mueller steps back into the shoes of Ron Weasley, while Ebony Blake transitions from the ensemble to starring as Hermione Granger. Naiya Vanessa McCalla will portray Rose Granger-Weasley, completing the iconic trio’s family.
In the Malfoy household, Ben Thys takes on the role of Draco Malfoy, with Aidan Close joining as his son Scorpius Malfoy. Julia Nightingale will enchant audiences as Delphi Diggory.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will embark on its first-ever North American tour starting with previews at Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre on September 10th, 2024. The official opening night is set for September 26th, with the final performance of the 21-week Chicago engagement scheduled for February 1st, 2025. The tour will then continue to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles and the National Theatre in Washington DC.
