Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden has posted an 11% jump in annual revenue, driven by the enduring popularity of its Harry Potter studio tour and a surge in production activity, reports Variety. The U.K. production hub reported £292 million ($390 million) for the year ending 2025, up from £264 million the previous year. The new financial accounts arrive as HBO's Harry Potter series films at the site ahead of its Christmas premiere.

The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London accounted for 63% of revenues, generating £185 million compared to £177 million last year. The report credits higher visitor numbers and extra spending on stores, cafes, and photo packages. Studio facilities, equipment, and services revenue climbed from £87 million to £107 million, helped by higher occupancy from the ongoing expansion.

Major Expansion and High-Profile Projects

Warner Bros. Discovery invested £263 million in studio development and tour-related assets over the year. The project will add 400,000 square feet of production space, including 10 new sound stages, boosting capacity by over 50% with completion expected in Q2 next year. Among the high-profile productions at Leavesden, HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series is currently filming, as is Robert Pattinson-led The Batman 2, though that film was recently paused after director Matt Reeves stepped away for a family matter.

Acquisition Timing and Financial Notes

The accounts were prepared while parent company Warner Bros. Discovery was still being acquired by Skydance. "Because the transaction has not yet completed, including any future refinancing, the company's directors are not able to fully assess the transaction's effect on the future financial and operational framework of the company," the independent auditors noted. The £111 billion deal closed on Oct. 6, shortly after the accounts were dated Sept. 30, 2026.

With the Leavesden expansion on track and the Harry Potter series deep in production, the studio is positioned for continued growth as the Wizarding World returns to screens on December 25, 2026. Fans can also look ahead to Season 2, which begins filming this fall.
