Warner Bros. Discovery recently revealed plans to open an official Harry Potter Shop in Chicago, bringing a new wave of magic to the Windy City. Following the launch of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Chicago last month, the upcoming store aims to further enchant fans in the area.
The retail store will occupy a 12,000-square-foot space at 676 Michigan Avenue, located in the iconic Magnificent Mile shopping district. Set to open in the spring of 2025, the new shop promises an immersive experience, featuring unique photo opportunities, interactive displays, and original props from the beloved films.
Sarah Roots, Executive Vice President of Warner Bros. Worldwide Studio Tours and Retail, expressed her excitement about the new venture. “Our ambition is to bring some Harry Potter magic to Chicago with our uniquely themed shopping experience and unmatched selection of products. I am delighted we have secured such a great property in a prime location and look forward to the opening next year,” Roots said.
In addition to this exciting news, Potter fans in New York have something special to look forward to as well. To celebrate Halloween, the Harry Potter New York store is offering a free Deathly Hallows cookie at the Butterbeer Bar to visitors who arrive in costume from October 31 to November 3, while supplies last.
With these new developments, Harry Potter enthusiasts in Chicago and New York can immerse themselves even more deeply in the wizarding world.
