Rhino to Release Limited-Edition 16-LP Box Set of Harry Potter Original Soundtracks on November 29th

Rhino will unveil the Harry Potter: Original Motion Picture Soundtracks I-VII in four collectible vinyl colorways inspired by the four Hogwarts Houses, featuring scores from legendary composers including John Williams and Alexandre Desplat.

In an exciting announcement for Harry Potter fans and vinyl collectors, Rhino is set to release the Harry Potter: Original Motion Picture Soundtracks I-VII in a comprehensive 16-LP box set on November 29th. This highly-anticipated collection will include the original motion picture soundtrack albums from all eight films, marking the first time these beloved scores have been brought together in one deluxe package.

Just in time for the holiday season, this set is designed to appeal to collectors and fans alike, featuring four unique color variants corresponding to the iconic Hogwarts Houses. Fans can choose from red for Gryffindor, green for Slytherin, blue for Ravenclaw, and yellow for Hufflepuff.

Limited to 3,000 copies, the box set will be available exclusively through Rhino’s direct-to-consumer store and select Warner Music Group (WMG) stores internationally. The set spans over ten hours of music, capturing the magic and emotion of the Harry Potter series.

The collection showcases the work of several iconic composers, beginning with five-time Academy Award-winner John Williams, who scored Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). Williams’ contributions to the franchise earned two Academy Award nominations for Best Original Score, while the Sorcerer’s Stone soundtrack achieved RIAA gold certification.

The scoring duties were later taken over by Academy Award-nominated Patrick Doyle for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Nicholas Hooper for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), and two-time Oscar winner Alexandre Desplat for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) and Part 2 (2011). Together, these soundtracks have amassed billions of streams globally, a testament to their enduring appeal and the emotional connection fans have with the music.

Fans looking to secure a copy of this special release are encouraged to act quickly, as the limited-edition nature of the set and its house-themed vinyl make it a highly sought-after collector’s item for the holidays. The complete collection will run fans $299.98 USD.
